About Us

Grant Ricketts, CEO and Co-founder 
Grant Ricketts is a founding member of Tripos Software, Inc. a new venture focused on providing enterprise software solutions for corporate sustainability management. The company is developing software to help large organizations plan, manage, and measure their sustainability initiatives in ways that help lower operating costs, reduce environmental impacts, and increase employee engagement.

Mr. Ricketts was previously Vice President and founding member of Saba Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: SABA) and spent over 10 years with the company as it grew from a garage-based start-up to over $100 million in revenue and 600 employees. Mr. Ricketts served several roles at Saba including product, marketing, alliances and business development. He spearheaded the market introduction of Saba, creating the category for enterprise learning management and establishing the company as the leader in the space.  Prior to Saba, Mr. Ricketts spent several years at Sybase and Oracle. 

He holds a B.A. Economics with honors and an M.B.A from the University of California, Berkeley.


Land Ormiston, VP Products and Co-founder
Land Ormiston is a founding member of Tripos Software, Inc. a new venture focused on providing enterprise software solutions.Prior to Tripos, Mr. Ormiston served as Director of Product Management with FAST Search and Transfer (acquired by Microsoft in 2008) where he helped drive the pervasiveness of search as an infrastructure technology for information-centric applications and led the development of a new Business Intelligence solutions driven by search.

Mr. Ormiston also spent 7 years with Saba Software, Inc. as a Senior Product Manager responsible for the company’s content, collaboration, and knowledge management solutions. While at Saba, he built a Learning Content Management System (LCMS) from the ground up and grew the product to a $1M+ business over the course of the first year after initial launch. Mr. Ormiston also served as a member of the IMS Global Learning Consortium where he helped author the IMS Simple Sequencing specification which later became the foundation for SCORM 2004, today’s defacto standard for e-learning interoperability. 
                        
Mr. Ormiston holds a B.A. in Russian Language and Literature from Amherst College and an M.B.A from the University of South Carolina.  

The Tripos team includes instructional design and eLearning professionals for the Sustainability In Practice online learning library as well as software engineering for Tripos CSM platform development.

Our Advisory Board includes members with current or former executive roles at Saba, McKinsey, World Energy and United Way, internationally recognized sustainability author and consultants, and academic leaders from Stanford University.
